Meet The Heart Behind Ukit ni Klara

Hi, I’m Klarizz Quintos, the founder and maker behind Ukit ni Klara.

By profession, I’m a teacher and an Information Technology graduate, but deep inside, I’ve always loved creating things with my hands and finding ways to make ordinary items feel a little more meaningful.

My entrepreneurial journey began in June 2018 when I started a small business selling shampoo bars. A few months later, I created my very first personalized brush using stickers. It was simple, but seeing how much joy a personalized piece could bring inspired me to explore something more permanent and special.

That curiosity led me to discover wood engraving.

At first, I didn’t own an engraving machine. I found someone who allowed me to use theirs for a fee, and I began experimenting, creating samples, and learning everything I could about the craft.

In 2019, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life.

I had been saving money for my wedding, but instead of spending it all on the celebration, I chose to invest in my dream and purchased my very own wood engraving machine.

It was a scary decision, but I believed in what I was building.

To make up for the wedding savings I had used as my capital, I worked twice — sometimes even three times as hard. I brought my handmade samples to bazaars, promoted my creations wherever I could, and slowly started receiving orders. What began with engraved brushes soon expanded into personalized pens, notebooks, souvenirs, and gifts for companies and special occasions.

By the end of 2019, all the hard work had paid off.

Then came 2020.

Like many small businesses, life suddenly changed. I paused operations after giving birth and focused on being a new mom. During this season of motherhood, I began to notice the little things my children needed — personalized items that were both practical and meaningful.

That season became what I call the rebirth of Ukit ni Klara.

I started creating headband holders, and to my surprise, they sold like hotcakes. Soon after came name tags, bag tags, keychains, and many other personalized items that children and parents loved. Through these creations, Ukit ni Klara found a new home within the wonderful Mom and Baby community.

Today, Ukit ni Klara has grown into more than just a small business.

We create personalized wooden crafts, acrylic keepsakes, event souvenirs, same-day engraving experiences, photoman services, and customized gifts for families, celebrations, and businesses.

But at its heart, our mission remains the same:

To create thoughtful, handcrafted pieces that celebrate life’s meaningful moments and turn memories into keepsakes that can be cherished for years to come.

Thank you for being part of our story and for allowing us to become a small part of yours.
